You are invited to attend the 23rd Biennial Pronghorn Workshop, on May 13-16, 2008, in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. The theme for the 2008 workshop is: “Pronghorn Antelope Conservation in the 21st Century: Continued Existence in a Changing Landscape?”

Workshop Background
The Pronghorn Workshop began in 1965 as the Antelope States Workshop and currently meets every even year. Attendees represent western state and provincial wildlife agencies, federal land and wildlife agencies, universities and colleges, wildlife consultants, and private conservationists from Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The Workshop's goals are to exchange information and encourage the perpetuation of sustainable wild herds of pronghorn on western rangelands. Meetings are held in different locations with presentations of technical and scientific data and includes local field trips. This information is assembled into proceedings, which provide "state of the art" knowledge on pronghorn and pronghorn habitat. In addition, the workshop periodically publishes "Pronghorn Management Guides" providing a compendium of suggested practices and techniques for managing pronghorn and pronghorn habitat.

2008 Workshop
The 2008 Pronghorn Workshop will provide a forum for researchers, managers, academicians, and other pronghorn enthusiasts from across western North America to exchange recent advances in research and management. The workshop will also promote communication and cooperation between agencies, organizations, and individuals. Participation in the workshop meets the requirements for professional development certification with “The Wildlife Society”. Details on the professional development requirements can be found at www.wildlife.org/certification.

The workshop will be held at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Canmore, Alberta (http://www.radisson.com/canmoreca). Hotel and additional accommodation information is provided below.
